Our History

History

In 1954 Tooradin-Dalmore began their long running history as part of the South West Gippsland Netball League.  Today, over sixty years on, the league is known as the South East Football/Netball League (SEFNL) and Tooradin-Dalmore is still very much a competitive and thriving club boasting a string of premierships and club championships. Recently adding the 2017 A grade premiership to the mantle.

The Tooradin-Dalmore Basketball (as netball was referred to then) Club was formed when the local football club joined the newly formed South West Gippsland Football League.  It was compulsory for each football club to have a basketball club as well. The Club built their first court near the entrance to the football ground which was done with voluntary labour and was the first asphalt court in the Association.  The Clubs original 1954 team made the finals in their first year of competition.

Today, TDNC competes in the SEFNL (formerly the Casey Cardinia Football Netball League) along with the Tooradin-Dalmore Football Club.  The club consists of 6 junior teams: 13 & under, 15 & under, 17 & under, senior teams of D grade, C Grade, B Grade & A Grade.  Most players are local to the area and this season we have over 90 registered junior and senior players.
